The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is a world-renowned theatre and learning charity, delivering outstanding educational work, pioneering in creative digital work and undertaking extensive creative placemaking activity within communities.

The purpose of the CFO role is to maintain strategic focus on RSC finances and lead the relationship with the Senior Leadership Team, Board and external stakeholders.

The Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Job title: Chief Financial Officer

​

Responsible to: Executive Director, ‘Dotted line’ direct link to the Chair of the Risk,  Audit and Finance Committee. Member of the Senior Leadership Team

​

Responsible for: Finance Director, Commercial role TBC

​

Remuneration: £100,000 - £120,000 plus benefits

​

Location: Primarily based in Stratford-upon-Avon with an element of flexible and hybrid-working supported, including in our London office at 55 New Oxford Street. The RSC fully supports hybrid and flexible ways of working.

 

Attendance is required at Risk, Audit and Finance Committee (RAFCo) (5-6 each year), Investment Committee meetings (around 2 a year) and Board (6 per year), as well as at Stratford-upon-Avon and London premises.

HOW TO APPLY

Application is by submission of curriculum vitae and a one-page statement/covering letter outlining: your motivations; how you could contribute to the success of the RSC and a brief overview of your core strengths in response to the person specification.

 

As part of the application process, you will be asked to complete the RSC equal opportunity monitoring form. Completed forms will be kept securely and separate from your application, they will not be seen by the panel and do not form any part of the assessment of your application. This information is required for annual reporting to Arts Council England and to continually monitor the RSC’s progress with Equity, Justice, Diversity and Inclusion.
